My Story

Why I Became a Lawyer

I was inspired to pursue law because I love arguing, and also because I love helping people. I genuinely believe that people deserve a second chance in life, and sometimes the circumstances of people get the better of them. I believe in providing quality legal advice on an intimate level, rather than seeing that person as a number or a case file just to get billable hours up. That's why I built CDA Legal & Associates as a boutique practice.

How I Work With Clients

I guide clients through the complexities of the family law and criminal law system, providing a "roadmap" and explaining every stage of it. I try to ensure I discuss a pragmatic approach with clients, to get the best possible results with the minimal amount of costs. In the courtroom, I am very fierce with criminal law matters, however with family law matters I take a more delicate approach. I truly believe that the tone of voice and presence must be personalised towards different courtroom settings and jurisdictions.

My Background

I have been working in law since 2016, and have been a solicitor since December 2018. I completed my degree and College of Law in December 2018, and was admitted to both the NSW Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia that same month. I have been a member of the NSW Law Society since my admission in 2018, and I am on the Legal Aid panel for criminal and family lawyers. I also appear across all NSW Local Courts as a Duty Lawyer, to assist people who cannot otherwise afford legal representation.

I have conducted hundreds of matters in the Local Court, including bail applications, mentions, sentences, defended hearings, bail variations, and annulment applications. In the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, I have conducted interim and final hearings, mediations, conciliation conferences, family dispute resolution conferences, and appeals. My approach, however, is to keep matters outside of court, and to finalise matters without the need of going to a 3+ day final hearing.
